When does NEET UG Counselling take place? 

The counselling takes place 15-20 days after the result of NEET-UG is declared. Students have to register on the Medical Counselling Committee’s official website to participate in the NEET UG Counselling. 

 

How do I apply for NEET UG Counselling? 

NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts NEET UG and publishes the score, while MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) looks after the counselling. You need to register at MCC’S website when the counselling begins. 

 

Which precautions should we take while filling out choices? 

You need to divide your choices based on the below factor  

  • Place (Which state - City you will like to go) 
  • Fees (Lower to higher fees range) 
  • Infrastructure (Best- Average) 
  • Based on your list, you will be able to select the colleges of your choice. 

 

Which are the most common mistakes students make during counselling? 

Many times students make mistakes while entering their name or their parent’s name which creates a glitch at the time of admission. Always feed your data, in the same manner, the way you did at the time of your registration in NTA.  

 

What are the different documents required at the different stages of counselling? 

Always keep original as well as Xerox copies of the below-given documents, we advise you to make 5 sets of these documents. 

  • NEET Admit Card   
  • NEET Score Card   
  • Domicile Certificate   
  • Photographs   
  • 10th & 12th Certificates   
  • ID Proof   
  • Cast/PWD Certificate (If required)   
  • Transfer Certificate

 Do I have to upload my documents during counselling? 

There is no option for uploading your document in AIQ, you need to physically go to the college and submit your documents.  

During State Quota Counselling some states have options for uploading documents, while some have a dedicated help centre where you need to go and verify your documents. You must check with the respective state’s guidelines if you are applying via state quota. 

 

What is the eligibility criteria for NEET? 

For open category a student must have 50% percentile, for PwD it is 45% and for SC/ST/OBC a student must have obtained 40% percentile in their 12th science. 

 

Who is eligible for NEET AIQ 15%? 

Students from every state of the country who are qualified are eligible for NEET AIQ 15%. 

 

What does the free exit in the first round mean? 

If you wish not to take admission in your first round then you can surrender your admission and become eligible for the free exit during the first round of counselling. 

 

What is the process of online allotment? 

The online allotment is done through a computer, the system follows a chronological method and allots seats to the students with higher merit first.  

 

How can I upgrade myself for Round 2? 

If you wish to upgrade yourself from round 1 to round 2 then you must go to the MCC’s website after round 1’s announcement and upgrade yourself for the next round. 

 

After I join the college via the second round of counselling (15% AIQ), Can I leave/resign to join the state quota/private college seat? 

No, once you take admission and fulfill the submission of the necessary documents during your second round then you can not opt for either the next round of AIQ or upcoming rounds conducted via state quota. 

 

Where and when will my security amount ‌be refunded? 

In the AIQ counselling after the completion of 4 rounds, you will get a refund in your original payment source. While in state counselling, you need to check with the particular state’s guidelines on how you’ll receive your deposit amount back. 

 

What if I hadn't locked my choices at my NEET UG Counselling page? 

If you’ve saved your choice and not locked them during your NEET UG Counselling then it's okay, the server will automatically consider your saved list as locked list for counselling. 

 

Do deemed universities offer reservations? 

No, the deemed universities do not offer reservations. In most of the deemed universities, you’ll find two types of seats namely management & NRI. However, some deemed universities can offer special quotas for minorities depending on the state.  

 

Can I get admission in BSc Nursing without NEET? 

Yes, admission for BSc Nursing is provided via state counselling, so you can get admission into BSc Nursing without NEET.
