Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is a two-year degree course, which comes under the stream of Medicine and Allied Science. Eligibility Criteria: 

  • A candidate must need to qualify in BPT from a recognized university with an aggregate of 50% marks and 6 months of internship is a must in the same field. 
  • In case a candidate is currently pursuing their final year BPT internship, they are also eligible to apply but their admission is confirmed only after the completion of their internship. 
  • Most of the top colleges of this course give admission via entrance test, which is conducted by either central government or state government or by the universities themselves. So to get enrolled in this degree, one should appear in any of the necessary entrance exams. 
  • As each university releases its minimum eligibility marks, so if you are targeting any specific college you should clear that particular college’s cutoff.

NEET PG: It stands for National Eligibility Entrance Test for post-graduation which is conducted by the national board of education every year for students. They can choose the colleges of their choice once they qualify for their exams with minimum marks. 

All India Post Graduate Physiotherapy Entrance Test conducted for aspiring students for Masters in Physiotherapy. 

IPU CET: It stands for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Common Eligibility Test. Students who are interested in the MPT course in this institution should register for this exam.

MPT in Cardio-Pulmonary Sciences: The many strategies and methods of treating and exuberating cardiological diseases are taught in this course. The students are taught ways in which various therapies affect the human heart, as well as the effects of those therapies. This course examines the heart's reaction to various exercises and therapies in depth. 

MPT in Neurosciences: Under this course, one studies the diagnosis and treatment of disease using different medical equipment. With the help of this course, one is able to treat patients who are suffering from neurological impairments like Stroke, injuries in the spinal cord, and alike

MPT Sports Science: The topic of the course is sporting injuries and difficulties. Sports physiotherapists are expected to conduct research, assist athletes in recovering from injuries and give education and resources to help prevent problems. Physiotherapy's goal is to treat and properly rehabilitate the athlete following an accident or surgery, avoid additional injury, and return the athlete to the sport as soon as feasible. 

MPT Pediatrics: Pediatric physiotherapy is concerned with the growth and development of children's health, as well as the early detection and treatment of disorders, particularly with regards to body postures and motor abilities. Because an adult's anatomy differs from that of a child or adolescent, physiotherapy takes these anatomical and physiological changes into account when treating illnesses like trauma injuries or muscular-skeletal issues.
